VICTORY THROUGH FORGIVENESS SEMINAR
One of the most insidiously effective
tools that Satan uses to defeat believers, as well
as everyone else for that matter, is bitterness and
unforgiveness. On the other hand, bitterness and unforgiveness
are integral to our very being and they are the natural
response to hurt, injustice and inequity. In Hebrews
12:15, we read: "See to it that no one comes short
of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing
up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled." The "root
of bitterness" that springs up in our lives will
poison and defile not only us, but it will actually
defile the very ones we love the most, and the person
toward whom our anger and unforgiveness is aimed is
not affected at all. This is the true nature of unforgiveness
and its destructiveness that permeates every facet
of our lives.
Another very interesting aspect of bitterness
is that as an emotional and spiritual poison in our
lives, it will exploit that area or areas where we
are the most vulnerable and susceptible to temptation
and sin. In fact, you probably wouldn’t even
connect those areas of deep struggle in your life with
the bitterness that accompanies unforgiveness, but
not only are they connected, they are quite often directly
linked! Therefore, to walk in forgiveness is to walk
in victory and freedom from enslaving attitudes and
passions that debilitate and cripple our lives, as
well as those we love the most.
This is a ten-hour seminar, and the following
topics are what we will look at:

6. The Discipline of Forgiveness - Ephesians 4:26-27
7. The Practical Implementation of Forgiveness - Colossians 3:12-17
